Today I embark on my trip to Italy, where I’ve wanted to visit for as long as I can remember. Instead of booking a multi-country tour or going with a big group, my friends and I decided to squeeze as much of Italy as we could into 9 days and see this beautiful country on our own terms. After such a stressful week, this is just what I need!
We start our journey inRome, taking in all the touristy sites and basically trying my best to relive the Lizzie McGuire Movie. No shame. Then we are off to Sorrento to enjoy life on the coast! From there we are taking day trips to the island of Capri as well the famous ruins of the ancient city Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that preserved it. Next we head up to Florence to stay with our friends who are studying at Florence University of the Arts! From there we are planning on a day trip to Tuscany (via a vineyard tour-surprise, surprise) and hopefully Venice as well. Lastly, we head to Pisa to be touristy once again and take an excessive amount of cliché photos at the Leaning Tower before heading home to Madrid! Can’t wait to embark on this adventure with two of my best friends.
Off to the land of pizza, pasta, wine, gelato, and cannolis! (Italian calories don’t count- and don’t worry, I’m bringing a lifetime supply of lactaid pills) 🍷🍕🍝🍨🇮🇹 Ciao!
