Since I’m leaving Madrid later this week, I decided to do some reflecting (while procrastinating my finals studying, of course) on some of my favorite little things about Madrid, as well as my study abroad experience as a whole. So here’s the first one!
Tomorrow is our last Wednesday in Madrid so it’s our last night at the club we frequent, Gabana. We found out about this club early on while searching for promotions on Madrid nightlife Facebook pages (what you have to do to get the best deals and invites!) and decided to try it out because it said it was free. Free? yes, you read that correctly.
Basically, every Wednesday this club has a different themed night with free entrance until 2am and free drinks until 1:30am. So naturally, we come nearly every Wednesday. We even have the hookup to skip the line EVERY TIME which is pretty awesome, and now we know the photographer so we’ve been killin it on the Facebook page lately. Also we are great at photobombing. Also we ALWAYS bring lollipops. DUH.
So on Wednesdays we head to 100 Montaditos for tinto de verano before heading together to the club. Including a taxi, I spend probably 10 euro on Wednesday nights so it’s great if you’re ballin on a budget like me.
It’s usually a very Erasmus atmosphere and always a fun environment with a variety of music; we have a blast hanging out with our friends and meeting people from all over the world. Here’s a couple pics from Gabana this semester!
