First club experience in Madrid

MADRID, SPAIN Last night we went out to a popular club, Joy, and danced the night away. You don’t have to be drunk to enjoy a night in Madrid. Unlike at home, the nightlife is often about social drinking (instead of pounding drink after drink) and, as corny as it may sound, enjoying time with your

September goodbyes

USA —> EUROPE This past week I’ve said goodbye to the most important people in my life. I got to head to Block Island to celebrate my mom’s birthday on my family’s annual summer Block trip right before we sent my baby sister off to Endicott. A couple days later, I was lucky enough to

Occasionally I think I romanticize traveling. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore trying to communicate in a different language or exploring a new city. Cusco, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac, PERU

Homeward bound – luckily!

LIMA —> NYC It’s not even 7 am and I’ve already been up for an hour and a half… No, this is not normal for me AT ALL. We finally returned back to the US of A last night after traveling from Peru all day long. My mom, sister, and I were yelling at each other

Running spots in Miraflores

Lima, Peru I’ve been slacking on my running this summer so no wonder I haven’t felt like myself lately. I’m lucky enough to be in Miraflores, Peru- the district in Lima where my Nona lives- and I had a fabulous run in the parks that overlook the ocean this afternoon: Parque el Faro (lighthouse park) and

Conversations at 30,000 feet

I don’t know what it is about airports, or maybe what is about me, but people have a tendency to tell me their life stories in various airports and planes across the world. It’s kind of a beautiful thing, really.

Whale watchin’ in New Hampshire

RYE, NEW HAMPSHIRE By the beginning of August, my boyfriend and I decided that we were in need of a mini getaway. We booked a fairly inexpensive hotel in Manchester,  NH. We checked out the local grub at cute little local cafés, then went on an absolutely fantastic whale watch out of Rye Harbor with Granite State Whale
Jamaican me crazy
NEGRIL, JAMAICA WELCOME home, mon! That’s probably the first thing you’ll hear when you step foot onto any hotel or resort in the country. The people are so hospitable and friendly so Jamaica truly is a fantastic place for a vacation in the sun.

España, here I come!

BEVERLY, MA I can’t wait until September when all this planning and daydreaming becomes a reality! That’s right, ya’ll: I’m headed to Madrid, Spain in the fall to study abroad. Already counting down the days…..
