If I’ve never mentioned it before, I am an avid Spotify user. I love being able to discover new music and have songs from any genre literally at my fingertips. (By the way, this is not an ad! I really do recommend it to everyone I know… Spotify, we can totally partner together here. I already do your marketing for free!)
April was tough. I was crazy stressed about schoolwork, heartbroken and in disbelief about graduating, up to my ears in thesis work, etc etc etc. There were so many wonderful times with my roommates and friends at Endicott that made thought of leaving in a month that much tougher. I needed a pick me up, a way to de-stress so I started making playlists of nature sounds, instrumental music, and anything else that might help me relax. Music therapy at its finest, folks.
At some point this month I decided to make a playlist entitled “April showers” which basically consisted of songs I had been loving or listening to extra or really connecting with, whether I’d heard them once or a thousand times. It ended up becoming a sort of musical diary in a way. If you’re looking for something eclectic to listen to, check out the first of my monthly playlists:
